Oxford Green Belt Way

The Oxford Green Belt Way goes through your local area and was created by the Oxfordshire branch of CPRE (the Campaign to Protect Rural England) in 2007 to highlight the importance of the Green Belt.

On Sunday 21st July 2024 local running clubs will be tackling the OxBelt Relay, running the 54 mile route in relay with 8 runners in each team, each running legs of between 4.5 and 9 miles. More details of the race can be found here: Oxbelt Relay If you're travelling along the route on July 21st do keep an eye out for us running past in our club colours and cheer us on!

The relay is organised by volunteers from the local running clubs, the first event was in 2022 and had 3 teams taking part and it has grown so this year there will be up to 18 teams from 10 clubs taking on the route through the countryside and villages that surround Oxford.

If you’d like to find out more about CPRE looking after the countryside, including volunteering opportunities, please visit: CPRE

A new entrance to the Littleworth Nature Reserve has been installed in the field next to Sandy Lane. The reserve is a good place to explore if you haven't been there before.
